Ok so i was a "geek" in HS ans i got picked on, beat up the whole nine yards. so i joined a gym, gained some weight, lost the glasses and braces, and got rid of my acne. i just graduated from college and i came back home to hang out with some friends. i saw a group of girls that i went to school with that wouldnt even give me the time of day(or night) back in hs and now its all like " OMG its jeff lets take some myspace pics and start flirting with him, and try to get his GF who is standing right next to him jealous!!" lol ok maybe being a little drastic but thats how it seemed. Pls dont leave me nasty note i know its not all girls who are like this. but what are your thoughts?

you're acting a tad sexist, but yes of course that's true. It's hard to be attracted to someone like that. You have to define 'shallow' for yourself, and if you date a 'shallow' girl you're no better than them. But is that a bad thing? You should consider it hard work payed off. What difference does it make if they talk to you now or if they don't? It has nothing to do with them being shallow. At the end of the day you have to be physically attracted to someone in order to have a relationship with them...maybe you didnt float their both then, but you do now. It's not that serious...ALSO they were in high school..young and immature...are you really going to fault someone for something they did years ago? Hope this helps!

my thoughts are there are always poeple in this world that are gonna be like that it depends on what chioce you make in how you deal with it is whats gonna decode how you feel and if it was the right thing to do. for example way back when in old movies they could not show people smoking on tv then a generation made it hpappen ame with cuss words wasent in movies then it sliped thoug slowly same with diffrent gender in bed or anyhting realted to that now adays in movies people are doin it all with put a care and it shows how the generations are geting tougher to live in even if you like a lot of that stuff i don't so its hard for me so iam saying to you its gonna be hard but it can be easier depending on the chioces you make for every thing in your life hope that helps

Now,its really happening in those cases like urs that girls suddenly wanna be around u,flirt wiht u and all just cause u are popular or such...I know cause i have boy with the same story for my bf now...He has same situation...Just that im not jealous and he doesnt care for them ,my advice to u is not to care either...Oh and most important dont get the fame play with ur brain and get high in the sky,ppl like that mostly fall down real hard later...

To be honest, the girls have probably just grown up. I know a lot of girls from my old school who wouldn't give some people the time of day because they weren't really popular etc, but now they've grown up a lot and care more about personality than looks. I guess some people are shallow throughout their whole lives and others aren't at all, but be the bigger man and don't judge them like they did you :)

I think girls and guys are shallow but there are some good people too. In high school especially because people have the pick on or be picked on mentality. I would just focus on the future and leave the losers who taunted you in the past. Do not entertain their comments even if they are nice. Let your girlfriend know that she is number one even when other females flirt ignore them or tell them to back off.

I have seen that many times, and it is typical-and really disappointing. Some people are like that and others are not. It is sad that people can't be nice to everyone. I try to be, cause I believe that we should do unto others as we would have them do unto us. I would hate to be the one to hurt someone so I am polite and friendly to everyone. This generation is really shallow and it worries me to think how the world will be once it is ran by that age group. I would suggest to put them in their place maybe and tell them to stick with the townies that are down at their level. It may seem a little harsh, but maybe it would be an eye opener for them. Keep in mind that some teenagers(most) are really rude and they grow out of it after they learn that they can think for themselves and don't have to do what the others do. Be optimistic and Congrats for showing them that you are a valuable and attractive person. Its just too bad that you had to do all that to be taken seriously.
