I've been hearly really bad things about Myspace lately, like how weird guys talk to young girls. Plus, people give out a lot of info about themselves, that really isn't safe. Is this ture?

That's what stupid kids do. But a lot of people try to act all cool, and exploit their problems so they can get attention. It's really irritating to see.

you can give out as much information as you are comfortable with. some people like to tell more and some like to tell less. its problematic in the hands of young kids who don't know what they're doing but otherwise its safe and anonymous.

Yeah kind of, if you are about to open a new account, then dont put any personal information, nothing important. Because there are a lot of things going on internet these days, so be careful//

No Its not If u want A Myspace just set your age as 99 or 78 so perferts wont search on 13 year olds and 15 year olds that will work 100%

There are terrible things that happen on myspace, but there are also terrible things that happen in parking lots, but that doesn't mean you can never go in one. If your careful and make good choices, you should b fine. keep your profile private and only friend people you know and talk to outside of myspace.

Yes if a person is under age, they are available to the world wide web. Parents should be there when are surfing their myspace (yeah its private but they are young) . I used to have one to keep in touch with old friends and talk to my cousin , that i don't see much. So basically it can be good and bad.

if you make your profile private so only the friends who you accept can see it then it is not dangerous but however if you use chatrooms and make your profile public and accept everyone who gives you friends requests it can start to get a little dangerous so really its as dangerous as you make it.

If you do the right things and dont give out personal information like some stupid girls then you shouyld be SAFE.

Like set your profile to private if your underage

dont give out your number, last name, school you go to etc...

dont accept old guys that send you a friend request if you dont know them....

dont put on too much revealing pictures of yourself because then your just asking for it....

judge for yourself. anyone can send you messages, and whatever information you put out there is what people can see. also it loads your computer with spyware and adware.

It is NOT safe....I have also heard bad things about the site. All of my friends have myspace. However i don't... i have heard horror stories about predators talking to young girls.. like you said. Also giving out way to much info.. not to mention by posting your pic everyone can see it everywhere. That means that someone could be stalking you. I believe that people give out way to mush info. about themselves. The whole thing spooks me. Why would I want to advertise who I am on line? I feel like there is no secretes anymore. No one gets to know who you really are. they now see a website. plus everyone lies on it.
