Is myspace pretty much full of narcissistic people?

I just formally broke up with my girlfriend after she was out with her friends and left comments on her myspace friends pages about her night... Granted I was hoping something like this would happen since our relationship was going down in flames, but then I started to look up other former friends... I started looking up a few and was amazed how posey they all are. Virtually all guys I went to high school with that have a page on there all have these "bad ***" themes with music I used to listen to when in school along with a HUGE amount of photos of themselves with no mention of thier significant other. I was amazed at looking at this crap and even the girls I knew have the same thing going on. I was just wondering if all myspace people are like this because even random searches would pull up people so stuck on themselves. I don't really have the largest attention span and don't care but I must admit how shocked I was looking at people's pages lol

This is a really GOOD question!!! I think the answer might just be YES! Myspace could of been called: "It's ALL about ME Space"

I see women posing and sticking "it" in the camera lense! Selling it like their on the Street corner to Hell....strange and dangerous.

There are a few of us who have profiles that are a tribute to others...but, I'll bet we are in the minority there.

its nice i found alot of people i have lost touch with i moved from cali to mich so its nice yea but alot of females have this overwhelming obsession with naked or partial naked pics of them self i just so feel like i dont fit in lol

its all in good fun and if her friends were like that and she was doing that then you know it needed to end anyways

YES!!!!!! Very good question and it's great that somebody brought it up! It really makes you notice how cliche people can be to fit in, and how sad they look from the outside. This generation is quickly becoming the "ME Generation"... Perfect evidence of this is the rising debt that the country is getting into by many young people who only want to have that new truck/car/whatever to look "cooler" than they really are. With the internet, not only can people look cooler and more self important than they really are; they actually see people with more talent and potential than they can ever dream of. This only fuels people's insecurities and continues the process. Don't worry though. Deep down they know they are lacking in some key area and will be fighting that deficiency their whole life, only to try and cover it up by posing as something they are not.
